Week 4: Monday, July 22 - Friday, July 26
9am-4pm • Grades 1-5 • $145/week half-days • $230/week full-days
Engineering For Kids brings Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) to students in fun and challenging ways. Campers will be inspired to build on their natural curiosity by learning engineering concepts through hands-on activities.
Engineering Studio Camp
June 24-28, July 8-12, July 15-19, July 22-25
Campers will learn about several fields of engineering in a given week and be challenged to use problem-solving, creativity, and often team-work to design and build objects like a model roller coaster, an electric powered car or boat, invisible ink, and so much more! Instructors introduce concepts and challenges to students and provide materials for them to build and explore through a studio-like atmosphere. After they finish their project, campers will test and improve their designs. Engineering Camp is an opportunity to get your hands involved with something new every day.
R.S.T. Boot Camp
June 24-28 & July 22-25
R.S.T. Boot Camp brings exposure to a variety of technologies. During a given week campers will spend 5 days learning to use 2-3 robots/software/technologies including drones, robots, softwares, and minecraftEDU. Some software or technology may be covered for 1 day, others may be covered for 3+ days in the week. Camps are designed to expound on a topic/s throughout the week and start fresh with a new topic the following Monday.
Medieval Machinations: MinecraftEDU | Afternoon Camp
MinecraftEDU is an expansive game that lets players design and create unique worlds with amazing structures. One of the more complicated aspects of MinecraftEDU is Redstone, which is MinecraftEDU's version of electrical circuitry. This class will introduce students to the many uses of Redstone through a Medieval themed adventure of creation, exploration, and castle besieging, with students making mine cart tracks to help them gather resources, working together to build their kingdom, and designing traps to defend their castle, all with the use of Redstone.
EV3 Robotics Camp | Afternoon Camp
The robot battles are on! This robotics camp is designed to introduce students to the world of not only building, but also programming basic robots. Campers will explore different ways in which a robot could be utilized to engage in various battle challenges. They will create, program, and control robots designed to perform challenges such as sumobattles, jousting, catapulting, and more! Campers will use EV3 Robots and computers to learn principles of robotics, software, and teamwork.
