Welcome from the Head of Lower School

Hello school families and visitors!

It is my honor to welcome you to All Saints' Academy, a community of learners as diverse as it is exciting.   The students, parents, teachers, and administrators grow together through challenging academics and character-building activities.  The environment is safe for creative exploration, providing opportunities for continued growth.  Students develop strong understandings of themselves and their places in the world as they support each other and the world around them.

The early years are dedicated to skill-building and social development  within core subject areas and the arts.  Cross-curricular integration provides all participants with a sense of how topics are related to each other and life's "big picture."  Through the primary and intermediate grades, the strengths of each individual are identified, nurtured, and celebrated.  All children have unique gifts and talents.

Spiritual life is enhanced through the Episcopal ministry, which includes respect for differences.  Indeed, the wide variety of heritages brought to school through our families and friends provide authentic enrichment and global awareness.  To further support the twenty-first century world view, we  include the tools of technology as part of the everyday experience.   Students advance to the middle and high school programs well prepared and with college admission as a goal.

From preschool through grade five, students learn Mandarin Chinese and Spanish, develop a writer's voice and style in an articulated writing program, hypothesize in the science lab and Outdoor Classroom, and develop their capacities to think critically across the disciplines. We also offer a wide range of after school activities such as chess, Robotics, Odyssey of the Mind , dance,  piano, Suzuki strings, MadScience, and athletics.  Many theme days are planned during the year.  Community field trips enhance classroom academic learning on a regular basis as well.
