Santa Fe 200 000 0 -- 2 4 6 All Saints 320 002 x -- 7 6 0 WP: Carson Fulmer (4-0). LP: Evan Barnes. Records: Santa Fe 5-8, All Saints 8-5.
Carson Fulmer survived a shaky first inning, allowing two runs, one earned, on one hit, a walk, two hit batters and two passed balls, and settled down to pitch All Saints to a 7-2 win over Santa Fe and third place in Lake Region's spring tournament.
The Saints, avenging a loss earlier this season to the Crimson Hawks, responded with 3 runs in their half of the first. Fulmer led with a solid single to right, Greg Pitsikoulis walked, Brenton Willis was hit by a pitch, and Garrett Doyle bounced a two-run single high over the third baseman's head. Willis eventually scored on a passed ball to give All Saints a 3-2 lead.
Two more runs followed in the 2nd, with Fulmer driving in a run on an infield grounder and Pitsikoulis plating another with a sacrifice fly.
Doyle finished with 3-for-4 and 2 RBI and pitched a 1-2-3 final inning for All Saints. Fulmer scattered 4 hits and struck out 7 in running his record to 4-0.
All Saints, now 8-5, next plays at Auburndale Tuesday at 7 pm.
