Clubs & Activities
Middle and Upper Schools

Extra-curricular activities and sports play an integral part in the life at All Saints' Academy.  There are opportunities for every student, and all are encouraged to participate in at least two activities and/or sports, thus becoming the well-rounded individuals sought by colleges and universities.  There are clubs and organizations involving spirituality, academics, government, the arts and service.  These meet anywhere from once a week to once a month.  Faculty advisors have a keen interest in helping the students make their club successful.  Many field trips are taken in conjunction with the various organizations, including leadership conferences, mission training, competitions and community services.

Overnight class trips are taken in grades 6-12.  The sixth grade spends the night at the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) in Tampa.  The seventh grade stays one night at the FFA Conference Center in Haines City, FL, participating in bonding activities and games.  The eighth grade goes on a four-day trip to Washington, D.C.

In addition to activities listed here for the upper school, the freshmen take a three-day trip to St. Augustine, FL.  The sophomores travel to the Crystal River where they swim with the manatees. The juniors spend five days on a college and university tour through the Southeast each fall.

The seniors embark on a five-day Road Rules trip.  The activities are known in advance only to the chaperones and have included such things as spelunking, parasailing, cooking, team-building activities, mining and hot air ballooning.

The Director of Student Life coordinates the scheduling of all activities as well as service projects and transportation to all events.  The current schedule provides a fifty-seven minute time slot each week for clubs and organizations to meet.  There is a rotating schedule of all clubs wishing to use this time slot once a month.  Those clubs and organization wishing to meet more often may use the flex and lunch periods, thus reducing the need for after school meetings that may conflict with athletics and the arts.

Sports continue to be a good source for the students to develop many skills, including a good work ethic and emotional control.  Good sportsmanship is encouraged at all levels and students learn to handle both success and failure for their teams as well as for themselves.  See Athletic Teams for more information about available sports.
