The Arts
Fine Arts
It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.
-Albert Einstein
It is the aim of the Fine Arts departments at All Saints' Academy to awaken that "joy in creative expression" without which no education is complete. The arts play an essential part in the life of a well rounded person. It is through the arts that the student learns to appreciate cultural differences and similarities, to gain self-confidence through public performance and exhibition, and to find satisfaction through self expression.
The arts program at All Saints' Academy stresses process and product. Through the process of creating art the student learns discipline and perseverance. By means of the end product of this process the student gains confidence and satisfaction. All Saints' students participate in a wide variety of art exhibitions, plays, concerts, and performances that afford them abundant opportunities for an extensive arts experience.

Performing Arts
Our Performing Arts Department features a wide array of opportunities for All Saints' students to work under the instruction of artists who remain active in their respective disciplines. Our course selections include string orchestra, vocal ensemble, dance, theatre, music appreciation, and music theory. Students are given the opportunity to perform in daily chapel services, "studio shows" once each semester, the Christmas Concert, plays, musicals, and several discipline-specific music and dance concerts as part of the Fine Arts Week in the spring. In addition, students perform throughout the community and participate in master classes, evaluations, festivals, and competitions locally, regionally, and nationally.
Our students have won numerous accolades, and our ensembles have won awards both regionally and nationally. All Saints' seniors have gained acceptance to and been awarded scholarships by many performing arts colleges and conservatories, including The Manhattan School of Music, Belmont University College of Visual and Performing Arts, and The Phillip and Patricia Frost School of Music at the University of Miami.

Visual Arts
The Visual Arts Department presents students with the opportunity to work in a wide variety of mediums under the instruction of active professional artists. The curriculum is designed to move from introductory courses that give the students a foundation in technical skills and application of materials, through advanced courses that build on these skills and allow students to individualize projects and develop their personal artistic signature. Students participate in four field trips to art exhibitions and colleges, and two pleine air working trips per year. Our art students submit work to at least five competitions per year outside of the school, where they have won numerous prizes, and display their work each year throughout our annual May Fine Arts Week.
Each year, between one and ten All Saints' graduating art students declare art as their major in college. Students have gained acceptance and won scholarships to many arts colleges, including the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, Boston University, the University of New Hampshire, Rhode Island School of Design, Georgia Tech Architectural School, Rollins College, Furman University, Savannah College of Art and Design, and Ringling School of Art.
